Reticulated Foam Absorbers (MF11 Series)

Broadband Attenuation.
Lightweight Foam.
Performance at Every Angle.

RETICULATED FOAM ABSORBERS

MAST Technologies’ MF11 Series Reticulated Foam Absorbers are lightweight, conductive carbon-loaded foam materials providing broadband RF attenuation at microwave frequencies — engineered for application on metal surfaces inside enclosures, housings, radomes, and antenna systems. Performance characteristics vary by thickness and configuration to support a range of RF attenuation requirements across commercial and defense applications.

Lightweight Broadband Absorbers for Angular Attenuation

Carbon-Loaded Reticulated Foam — Engineered for Microwave Surfaces.

MF11 Series absorbers combine broadband microwave attenuation, lightweight construction, and effective performance at high angles of incidence — the angular range where standard absorber materials typically lose effectiveness.

Standard products operate from 1–18 GHz or 18–40 GHz depending on thickness, with a continuous gradient coating engineered for high reflection loss across the operating band.

KEY CAPABILITIES — MF11 Series
Broadband RF loss at microwave frequencies
Continuous gradient coating for high reflection loss
Lightweight conductive carbon-loaded reticulated foam construction
Effective attenuation at normal and high angles of incidence
Designed for metal-surface application — enclosures, housings, radomes, antennas
Performance dependent on thickness and configuration

Note — Thicker configurations extend the lower frequency cutoff. PSA-backed variants (the “−01” suffix) are functionally equivalent to non-PSA versions for RF performance — the difference is installation method. Contact our engineering team for custom sizes or specifications not listed.

Work With Our Engineers

Match the MF11 Configuration to Your
Frequency, Angle & Installation.

Selecting the right MF11 variant comes down to three variables: the frequency content you need to attenuate, the angle of incidence at the installation surface, and the space available for the absorber. Our engineering team helps you map all three to the right MF11 part number.

Engineering Question

Need help matching MF11 thickness to your frequency band?

Share the operating frequency, expected angle of incidence, and the available installation envelope — our engineering team will identify the MF11 variant that matches, or recommend a custom configuration if the standard table doesn’t quite fit.
