CONVOLUTED FOAM ABSORBERS

MAST Technologies’ MF32 Series Convoluted Foam Absorbers are lightweight, conductive carbon-loaded foam materials engineered to deliver broadband reflection loss at microwave frequencies — using a cone-shaped geometry that enhances absorption beyond what flat foam construction can deliver at equivalent thickness.

Lightweight Broadband Absorbers for Microwave & RF Environments

Reflection Loss Enhanced by Cone-Shaped Geometry.

MF3 absorbers combine lightweight carbon-loaded foam construction with a cone-shaped surface geometry that increases effective surface area and enhances reflection loss — delivering broadband attenuation at angles where flat foam construction falls short.

Performance characteristics vary by foam geometry and thickness, supporting a range of RF attenuation requirements across commercial and defense applications.

KEY CAPABILITIES

Work With Our Engineers

Match the MF32 Configuration to Your Thickness & Placement.

Selecting between 1.5″ and 3.0″ convoluted foam comes down to the lowest frequency you need attenuated and the volume available for cone-geometry depth. Our engineering team helps you map those constraints to the right MF32 part number, with PSA backing where field installation matters.

Engineering Question

1.5″ or 3.0″ — which thickness fits your application?

Share the lowest frequency you need attenuated, the angles of incidence involved, and the installation envelope — our engineering team will identify the right MF32 thickness and backing format.
