APPLIED RF MATERIAL PORTFOLIO
When a discrete absorber part won’t reach the geometry — or the application demands the absorber be built into the assembly rather than mounted on it — MAST’s applied RF materials portfolio delivers absorption in cast, dispensed, spray-coated, sealed, or printed form. Three format families cover every applied-material scenario.

Applied RF Materials
For the RF Problem That Needs an Applied Solution.
Compounds, caulks, and inks share one defining characteristic — they’re applied to the part rather than attached as a discrete component. That means RF absorption can reach geometries pre-formed absorbers can’t fit, seal gaps that discrete parts can’t span, and cover surfaces that require conformal treatment.
MAST’s applied materials portfolio spans three format families, each engineered for a different integration method — from castable and sprayable compounds to dispensable absorber caulks to carbon-loaded ink coating systems.

Compounds. Caulks. Inks. Three Ways to Apply RF Absorption.
Each format is optimized for a distinct application method. Pick the format that matches how the material will be integrated into your build — cast into geometry, sealed into a seam, or coated onto a surface.
Absorber Compounds
Carbon- and magnetically-loaded liquid or semi-liquid materials supplied for casting, dispensing, or spray application — engineered to fill geometry pre-formed absorbers can’t reach.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Silicone Absorber Caulks
Silicone-based absorber caulks combine RF attenuation with sealing function — dispensed from a nozzle, cured in place, filling seams and gaps where absorption and environmental sealing are both required.

Electrical performance of applied material implementations may be characterized using industry-standard RF test methods, depending on the final form and application. Both reflectivity and transmission test methodologies apply.
Work With Our Engineers
Match the Applied Format to Your Application Method.
Applied materials are typically selected based on the manufacturing process — how the material will be integrated, what surface it needs to bond to, and what performance target the finished assembly needs to hit. Our engineering team helps you pick the right format (compound, caulk, or ink), the right formulation within that format, and the right application method for your build.
Engineering Question
Not sure which format fits your application?
Share the manufacturing process, the surface or geometry the material needs to integrate with, and the RF performance target — our engineering team will identify the right applied format and specific formulation for your build.
